Terms & Conditions

Last updated September 29, 2026

Clarify is provided by the Institute for Shared Understanding ("we", "us"). By creating an account or continuing to use Clarify, you agree to these terms and are entering into an agreement with the Institute for Shared Understanding.

The service

Clarify evaluates the Communication Effectiveness of messages you submit and produces a Clario Method™ Communication Effectiveness Assessment, including an improved version. You must be of legal age, or have authority to act for your organization, to use Clarify.

Your account

Keep your login details private and your information accurate. You are responsible for activity on your account.

Acceptable use

  • No unlawful use, fraud, spam, or harassment.
  • No content that infringes anyone's intellectual property or privacy.
  • No malware, probing, scraping, or attempts to disrupt or bypass limits of the service.
  • No reverse engineering, reselling, or redistributing the service.

Your content and assessments

You keep ownership of what you submit. You give us a limited permission to store and process it only to provide the service. Assessments are generated automatically and may be incomplete or inaccurate — review them before relying on them, and do not use them as legal, financial, or other professional advice. You are responsible for what you send and how you use the results.

Our intellectual property

We own Clarify, the Clario Method™, and all related software, content, and branding. We give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Clarify within your plan.

Payments and subscriptions

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, renewal, and cancellation are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. Paid plans renew monthly until cancelled. If you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you paid for. See our Refund Policy for refunds.

Service availability

We work to keep Clarify running well but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent allowed by law, the service is provided "as is" without implied warranties, and our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the previous 12 months. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end access for a serious or repeated breach of these terms, non-payment, or security or fraud risk. You can stop using Clarify at any time. When access ends, your account data may be deleted.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms; continued use means you accept the updated terms. Questions: richard@clariomethod.com.
